Just brief update. Asher spent the last few days in the hospital. He spiked a temp of 101.7 Saturday night, so we took him to the emergency room. They got his temp down, it looked like he was getting an ear infection, so the ER doc. gave us a prescription and sent us home.
When our pediatrician found out on Sunday that the ER doc sent us home (remember: small town, everybody know everything!) he was very upset. He called and asked us to bring Asher back to the hospital so he could be admitted and they could run some tests.
To make a long story short, they ran all kinds of tests, keep us in the hospital until today and everything checked out just fine. He hasn't run a fever since Saturday and he is perfectly healthy.

Now I would just like to say:
Drama you may leave now, you have definitely overstayed your welcome.

Love Y'all

Good for your doctor. That's pretty amazing the ER doc did that. There are standard protocols that are supposed to be done for a newborn (or any baby) with fever.

(I suggest if there's a next time, call your doctor on the way to the ER.)

And I agree. You have had more than your share of the medical excitement lately!!

So glad he had nothing serious. So strange for a newborn to run that kind of fever.
And I still wonder about your "sinus infection." Hospitals are so full of germs.

Ok, enough icky thoughts.

How ARE you?

Oh Cheryl, I'm so sorry about all the stuff. I'm just catching up on what is going on! I will be praying for you all.

On another topic - I grew up in N. GA -- maybe you've told me before....where do your parents live?

Cheryl, I am so sorry, I had no idea that Asher was sick, let alone been in the hospital. I would have checked on him. I agree you all have had enough. So thankful Baby Asher is home and doing well. I hope you and Steven are doing well also. Love you all.

With an ear infection at that young age, I would take him to a chiropractor. It's possible that he needs an adjustment to allow his ears to drain properly. Even with a c-section that can happen! Good luck, girl!
