I left last Thursday to attend the Minister's Wives retreat hosted by the GBC. I had a great time and went not knowing anyone. But when I got there, I saw Amy, who I had met 2 years ago at the Ga. Baptist Convention. We've emailed a little of the past 2 years but it was really great to get to spend some time with her and get to know her better. She came with another pastor's wife named Nicole and Amy's college roommate, Frances was at the retreat with her friend Paula. So the 5 of us ending up hanging out together most of the weekend. The speakers were great, the food was good, the music was good (but it's hard when you just experienced Travis at FBCW), the spa day was fun and the fellowship was so encouraging! Paula and I getting our feet treated! Now this next picture has absolutely nothing to do with the retreat but while I was driving to the retreat, through deep south Ga., I passed this house that had these flags on their flagpole:
Yes, that is a rebel flag with President Obama's picture on it and the word 'hope'. When I saw it, my first was response was "HUH?!?!" I couldn't resist turning around to take a picture. It just doesn't seem to make sense does it? I wonder how President Obama would feel about his picture being on a rebel flag.Love Ya'll!
