Just popping in to say, no baby yet. But if not before, we know he'll definitely be here one week from today!! Thanks for all your prayers through out this pregnancy. Except for this one event, this pregnancy has been pretty much stress free. Praise be to Jesus!!!!

On another note, I went for my final check up today. Everything looks great, Asher is still in the proper position, thank you Jesus! When my Dr. examined me, she said that she could have easily broken my water, so she didn't do a full exam because she really wants me to hold out until the 16th. But she also said that I could go at any time. Personally, I'm hoping for anytime before the 16th! But God's timing will be perfect!

The kids are on spring break this week, so I probably won't post again for a while unless......

"He flipped like a pancake!!"

Thank you Jesus, now let's just pray he stays that way. Although I think he will, the Dr. said his head is pretty low and I'm 50% effaced and 1cm dialated. So all systems are on go!!!

On another note, Emma didn't make the squad. She was pretty upset but her attitude is amazing. We all want our kids to learn these kind of life lessons, it just stinks that it has to hurt them.

Well, tomorrow is the day. When I go to the Dr., if Asher hasn't gotten back into position, then she wants to schedule a c-section. We'll still be looking at delivery around April 16th. Please be praying......I'm coming to grips with this.

This morning Caleb asked me, "Did Asher flip yet?" When I told him no, he responded by saying, "He needs to flip like a pancake!"

Where does he come up with this stuff!?!?

On another note, my baby girl is trying out for the middle school cheerleading squad tomorrow! MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!!! This is the first time she has actually had to try out and face the possibility of not making the squad. There are 19 girls trying out and 12 can make the squad. She's nervous but I think she's got a great attitude about it all. She's been praying about it and asking God to help her. If you think about it, say a little prayer for her tomorrow.

Well, I'm going to bed. Hopefully, I'll have some good news to share with you all tomorrow!

I got a great report at the doctor yesterday. Everything looks great, my blood pressure is perfect, I only gained one pound since my last check up, the baby looks completely healthy and is right on track...........

except........

the little rascal has flipped around and is now breech!!!!


When we had a sonogram at 34 weeks, he was in the proper position, so sometime over the past 2 weeks, he flipped. The ironic thing is that I know exactly when it happened! This past Saturday night, I was sitting on the couch, trying to relax. We had a super busy day and although I was exhausted, I had to let my body unwind before I went to bed. Steven had gone to bed early because he was fighting getting sick. While I was sitting there, I began feeling some serious pressure. It went down into my legs and in my back. I was also having some contractions but nothing consistent. I remember thinking, "Oh Lord, please not tonight." After about an hour, all the pressure and contractions subsided. But now I'm pretty sure, Asher was just practicing his somersaults!

Please pray that he will get back into the right position because if not, I'll have to have a c-section and I sure don't want that!

When we left the doctor yesterday, I told Steven, "I hope this isn't a sign of things to come with this child!"

Well, I've made it. I'm officially 36 weeks or if you want to talk in months, I'm 9 months!!!! Y'all, I'm so ready. Well not ready, as in having things organized, baby clothes washed or my hospital bag packed but just ready. I'm not complaining, I'm feeling great but I'm just ready.

Ok, I'll stop saying that.

I go tomorrow for a check up. I'll let you know how it goes!

Update

I went for my 30 week check up today. Everything continues to look great, according to my Dr. We did discuss scheduling an inducement. Since we are an hour away from the hospital, we're a little leery about letting it happen naturally. Steven doesn't want to be delivering a baby on the side of the road and neither do I! We did this with Caleb and he was born within 4 hours of starting the pitocin. So as of today, we will be having our baby on April 16th. woo-hoo!!
Since Steven was unable to go to the dr. with me today, Caleb had to go with me to the triage room, where they take your blood pressure and weight before you see the dr. He was very curious about everything they were doing to me, pricking my finger, taking my blood pressure and was just taking it all in. The last thing the nurse asked me to do was to step on the scale, as I was walking to it, Caleb loudly asks, "Are you gonna cry, momma?" The nurses and every woman who heard his question cracked up. One lady answered him and said, "Yes sweetheart, all women cry when they stand on that thing!" Too cute!

Good News!!!

I went to the doctor this morning and had a sonogram. As soon as she put the wand (I guess that's what you call it) on my belly, you could see a beautiful, healthy and very active baby!! YEAH!!!!! The baby's heartbeat was around 158 beats per minute, so take your guess.
It was too soon to tell the sex but we'll know soon enough. The doctor said everything looked great and I'm due April 19th.

Cranberries, Olives and Brunswick Stew....Oh My!

Ok, I don't have anything great. I do have a post floating around in my head that was inspired by the Focus on the Family broadcast from today but I don't have the time to write it right now. But I have been experiencing some weird things lately, obviously related to pregnancy and food.
Here's pregnancy cravings summaries with my first 3:

Emma- no weird cravings but if I heard someone mention a specific food, I'd have to have it within the next day or 2.
Dougie- lemonade, the tarter the better! I remember going by a Chick-fil-a one morning on my way to school and getting a lemonade, it was 6:30 in the morning!!!
Caleb- cranberries, lemon-lime powerade and anything tart!

This time around, I'm having a mixture of all three! A few weeks ago, I couldn't get enough cranberries! I ate dried cranberries, yogurt covered cranberries and even baked a cran-apple crisp, just because I wanted more cranberries! Last week, I was eating pickles and green olives like crazy. I'll admit, I even drank a litle pickle juice one day!!! Hey, I'm just being r.e.a.l.!!!
But this weekend, the brunswick stew hit! I guess it was the memories of Octobers in Roswell. We had a Youth Day parade on the 2nd Sat. in October and our church always had a float. Then after the parade, the Masonic Lodge sold bbq plates and brunswick stew. We always took our plates home cause there was some UGA football to be watched! I remember those days with such fond memories and I was sharing them with Steven this past Saturday morning while eating some yummy pumpkin pancakes at IHOP. By lunch time, I had to have me some brunswick stew! So after UGA took care of Vandy, we went and got me some brunswick stew. If you don't know what I'm talking about, you can google it but anything that calls for potatoes and butterbeans in the recipe is not REAL brunswick stew, at least IMO!
My mom has given my grandmother's recipe and maybe tomorrow I'll make some for us to have during this craving enjoy. Who knows what I'll crave next.
