"So what's your resolution going to be?" That seems to be the question everyone asks this time of year. And my answer is, "I'm not going to make one." In fact, since 2004, I haven't made a resolution. At the beginning of 2004, the headmaster of the school where I taught, challenged us to seek God's direction and adopt a yearly verse. So that's what I do. Every year about this time, I begin asking God to direct me to a verse that will help me grow closer to Him. It has been amazing to see how the verse that He shows me in January applies to my life throughout the year.
Here's a list of my New Year's resolution verses:
2004~ Romans 12:2
2005~ Isaiah 43:18-19
2006~ Matthew 6:33
2007~ Colossians 4:2
I'm not sure what my verse for 2008 will be yet, I'm still praying and seeking His direction but I'll keep you posted, no pun intended. : )
I'd like to hear your resolutions.

Christmas 2007
Well, since my last post, we have had Emma's class party, went caroling with the church, celebrated Christmas at Grandma and Paps' and celebrated Christmas with the Adams side of our family. We have been very busy since school got out. But it has been so much fun getting to see our families before Emma and Dougie have to go to their dad's tonight.
Santa even made an early stop at our house and left some gifts!
I'm going to try and post slide shows for each event so you won't be overloaded with photos!
If I don't get a chance to post again before Christmas, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Dougie's Christmas Party
Today was Dougie's Christmas party. He started his day by getting to wear his pajamas to school. He literally rolled out of bed, put his shoes and jacket on and went to school!
The room mom had a great party planned. The kids ate some yummy snacks, drank hot chocolate, made a reindeer bag and decorated a gingerbread man. Whew! It seems like a lot but we kept the kids busy and they didn't get too crazy before the book exchange.
Here are some photos, I hope you enjoy them!
The finished masterpiece!
Dougie and Mrs. Harrison, the most wonderful teacher!
Caleb getting his first taste of hot chocolate!
"Bubba" and Caleb!

Thankful Thursday
I am thankful that Jesus chose me. (Isaiah 41:9)
I am thankful that I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.
I am thankful for God's word and how it speaks directly into my daily life.
I am thankful for my sister's in Christ who pray for me.
What are you thankful for today?

I just listened to this video and I wanted to share it with everyone. It is so precious and yet so true. Be prepared, you will probably cry, I know I did. And let's all remember to take the wise advice of this little boy, "Run to Jesus!"
Enjoy!

Christmas Celebration
Our city has an annual Christmas celebration to welcome in the Christmas season. It's always a fun time. This year they had a silent auction and Emma won everything she bid on. I think we may have started something!
As you can see from the pictures, Caleb didn't cry when he sat in Santa's lap. I was a little surprised but I'm so glad he didn't.

After you finish laughing at this, try it for yourself! It's easy to do and very funny! Emma, Dougie and Caleb got a big kick out of it!
