In case you were wondering.....

My friends Lisa and Amy have both tagged me with the same meme and since I've done this one previously, you can go here to learn more about me.

As most of you know, we live in a small town in a rural part of Georgia. And if you were wondering, do people still pay the preacher with things like vegetables? The answer is YES!

This bag of squash and cucumbers was left on Steven's desk Sunday morning:

And when we got home from taking Emma and Dougie to their dad's, we found these goodies had been left in our carport. Yes I said carport, we don't have garages here in S. Ga., we have carports!

Yes we get 'paid' by our church but getting these home grown vegetables is one of the top benefits of living in the country!!

Have a great day and remember: Eat your veggies!!

That is so funny Cheryl. My husband is a yankee and he didn't know what a carport was and he thinks it is the funniest thing for some reason.

I LOVE getting veggies from people.
It is a perk - I must admit!

Lucky you. One disadvantage to living in an Urban Area. I yearn for a yard to grow those in

How funny, Cheryl! Must be a country thing. I can't remember the last time someone brought us veggies. Lucky you!

All my childhood birthday parties were on our "carport"!! And, I especially love homegrown GA tomatoes - and tomato sandwiches. Mmmmmmm.

That's great! We had dinner with a couple from our church on Monday night and they had just baked us a cake to take home with us!! One of the MANY perks of a Pastor's home:)

Isn't it wonderful to find those surprises. There is nothing like fresh home-grown veggies! Sure beats canned!

Just wanted to jump in here from Cindy's blog and agree that yes, the kitty ad from Craigslist is unbelievable! I still stare at Snowman and just wonder....
Also, I am jealous of your fresh vegetables! We have a vegetable graveyard this year instead of a garden. :-(
