Calling All Super Readers!!!!

If you never watch PBS Kids, that title will mean nothing to you but you know what? I think you are a super reader! OK, cheesy, I know but I do appreciate everyone that reads my blog. Every so often I will find out about someone who says, "I read your blog all the time" and I'm always amazed. So if you read this blog, that would be y-o-u, I would like for you to leave a comment.
Tell me your name and where you live. You don't have to be specific, you can just say something like:

"Cheryl, Ga."

But I don't know how to leave a comment, you say?
Well here's step by step instructions:
1. Click on 'thoughts from you' below.
2. If a grey box pops up, click 'yes'.
3. Type your comment in the comment box.
4. Click on 'anonymous' and your comment will be posted.

It's that simple!

So now you have no excuse, now you can leave your comments!

I can't wait to hear from y*o*u!!!

Love Y'all dearly,

I'll show you....

Just a while ago, Steven left to pick up Emma at school. Caleb was very upset that he couldn't go and even more upset that I was making him take a nap. I laid down with Caleb for a minute trying to get him to stop crying but he wouldn't. So I left him lying on his bed and he was still saying (betweens his cries), "I want to go with Daddy."
Within a few minutes, he stopped crying and I knew that he had fallen asleep. I just went back there to peek in on him and this is what I found:

(excuse the shoes/toys under the bed, 3 boys+1 room= a mess!)

Oh that boy!

Love y'all!

My kids make fun of me because I will hear a song and say, "this is my favorite song." They say, "Momma, every song is your favorite song." But truthfully, what I really should say is God is using this song to help through this time in my life, because that's what music does for me. It speaks to my soul in only a way that music can. So what's my latest favorite song? It's "We will Remember" by Tommy Walker. It was kind of like the theme song at the Southern Baptist Convention this year and at the time, I had no idea how God would use it to speak to me now.

"When we walk through life's darkest valleys, We will look back at all You have done. And we will shout OUR GOD IS GOOD AND HE IS THE FAITHFUL ONE!"

I've never 'run the aisle of the church' before but when they sing this verse, it brings me pretty close!!!

I will remember the works of the LORD, surely I will remember thy wonders of old.
Psalm 77:11

4 Months Old

Asher turned 4 months old this past Sunday. We went today for his check-up.
He weighs 15.6 ibs and is 25 and 3/4 inches long!

I know I've said it before but he really is a very sweet and easy baby. He's still sleeping in his bassinett in our room but I know I should start putting him in his baby bed. Just the thought of it.....he's growing up so fast! He loves to "talk", laugh and smile. He's doing it right now as I type this, it's the most precious sound! We haven't started any baby cereal yet, maybe in a few weeks.
Here's a couple of pictures of his most recent accomplishment:

So many emotions.....

I can't even begin to tell you how I am feeling today. It takes only a phone call, text or even just the thought of friends and I am crying. The next moment I begin thinking about all the different possibilities and I get excited about what God has in store for our family.

If you don't already know, Steven resigned as Pastor of our church yesterday.

Yesterday was really hard.

Today...reality is sinking in.

I won't share the details of why we left our church but just know that we have no doubt that this is part of God's plan for our lives. We are leaving our church knowing that we are so loved. And my love for our church family is stronger today that it has ever been!

"I feel a bit like Abraham, when God asked him to leave his home and go to a place that God would show him. Abraham left not knowing where he was going but he trusted God. We don’t know where we’re going but we are trusting God and know that He has a place for us." ~closing of Steven's resignation letter

Please pray for us because we don't know where God is leading us next but we trust Him completely.

Remember way back January I told you about my New Year's verse for 2009? God is using it now to remind me that He is in control.

"Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me." Psalm 119:133

Love y'all dearly!

Do you believe?

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.
Romans 8:28
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for
I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11
I believe,
yes Lord,
I BELIEVE!

1st day of school

I can't believe that it's the first day of school!!! Just like everyone else is saying, "where did summer go?"
Emma is an official middle schooler (6th grade) and Dougie is starting 3rd grade!
It doesn't seem possible but it is....
I knew they would give me a hard time about taking their picture this morning so I gave them a choice, you can let me take your picture at home or I will take it at school.

Guess what they chose?
I'm such a mean ol' momma! ;~)

Happy Monday!
Love Y'all,
